ove for life and ability to see the goodness in the world, is what have been motivating Kyriacos Arkatiti to create. At the age of nine, he had already "created" a book about animals by observing and drawing his little plastic toy animals. Six years later, he started drawing and writing about nature and animals in a more elaborate way. He thought that he would create the first animal encyclopedia in the world. He wrote and drew about fifty pages until he saw at a local bookstore an encyclopedia about animals. Disappointed as he was, he quitted his idea and instead, he started drawing landscapes using oil paintings.
Many years later, after taking his master’s degree in engineering from the University of Michigan, he found himself expressing art through the way of photography. More mature then, he was still fascinated by the wisdom of nature and all things pure. He started traveling in places where everything was still unspoiled and original. He explored Bali, Brazil and Amazon river, Cuba, and Egypt among other places. At the same time, he was still creating art in a pioneering way. Sample of his work may be seen in the Dream Worlds Land website.

The birth of his first child in 2005 was an important event in his life. He started again seeing the purity and wisdom in nature, and appreciating the true values in life, in a new way. And then, the "babyguards" were born, too. The babyguards photo creation is the outcome of all things Kyriacos Arkatiti has been appreciating in life: purity, harmony in the universe, and ability to see the beauty in the world we live. And all these presented in a unique way that will always make the viewer close his or her eyes and smile!
